In 2005, Dutch photographer Henk Wildschut launched a project on illegal immigration in Europe, which resulted in the books ‘Shelter’ (2011), ‘Ville de Calais’ (2017), and ‘Rooted’ (2019). In 2021, he captured the impact of the Covid-19 crisis in the Netherlands with ‘Distance’. In ‘Territorium’, Wildschut explores the gap between farmer and nature. His efforts have resulted in a photobook as well as an exhibition and video installation in Rotterdam. In the area around Wildschut’s parental home in Harderwijk, a peaceful natural oasis in his youth, a culture war rages between farmers and conservationists. Wildschut portrays this battle through striking documentary images. Dutch only.
